What Is HRtoolkit?

HRtoolkit’s goal is to provide you with the tools, knowledge and confidence to manage employee issues for yourself, and know when to ask for specialist help. Yes, sometimes hands on support from a qualified expert is necessary, and we can also provide that,  but our ultimate goal is to prevent the need for consultancy support by supporting you effectively to do it the right way first time.

Who Is HRtoolkit For?

Most small businesses are not able to afford expensive consultancy fees.  Yet, at the same time, the need to professionally manage your employees in the business environment in which we now find ourselves is more important than ever.  After all, when every penny counts, you don’t want to spend that on the wages of employees who are not performing, or defending personal grievance claims that were avoidable.

How Does It Work?

HRtoolkit provides you with access to an extensive library of HR documents that you can use to manage the HR needs of your business, from recruitment through to dismissal and everything in between. We also offer consultancy services when you need a more personal touch or have a particularly difficult matter to deal with. Just choose the package that suits your business, or talk to us to tailor a packaged solution to your specific needs.

2. Who wrote these documents?

A team of highly skilled HR professionals who all have many years of experience.

3. Can you guarantee I won’t be sued by an employee?

An employee always has the legal right to bring a grievance. However, if you follow the advice and templates in our document library, you will reduce the risk of an employee bringing a grievance and have a strong legal defence if they do.

4. Can I share these documents with others?

About HRtoolkit

Lisa Mackay established HRtoolkit in 2006 and she and her team and have worked with literally thousands of small businesses in that time.  Her advice is not only legally compliant, and in plain English, it is also strongly focused to ensuring a practical and sensible outcome for everyone.  Lisa has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, is a qualified NLP practitioner, and has been working in HR for more than 25 years.

Over the years HRtoolkit has repeatedly proved their expertise (and that we punch well above our weight!). Running the 0800 Chamber advice line for the Chamber of Commerce for several years; selling HRtoolkit as an off the shelf product through Warehouse Stationary; Partnering with BNZ and Yellow Pages; Grand Supreme winner of the David Awards; Finalist in the AUT business awards…. to name but a few of our achievements.

Lisa now lives in the Bay of Islands and is available by phone and e-mail full office hours… though with the help of modern technology she may actually be digging the veggie patch, or up a scaffold renovating the house when she answers your call, so apologies if she is a bit out of breath 😉
